I have three loves in my life; my wife, my daughter and photography. A bit cliché? Probably, but it's the truth!

In 2004, before our honeymoon to the Maldives, I got myself a camera. Two years later I was shooting a wedding. There was no grand plan, it just happened. I enjoyed it, so carried on doing it when asked. And I kept getting asked!

I guess the artistic side of me has always been there. When I was young I sketched all the time, at 21 I learnt the guitar (any good? Don't ask!). I was very close to studying journalism at university. I’m glad I didn’t though as my path has led me here and I couldn’t think of anywhere I’d rather be. So, here we are in 2011 and my love of photography continues to grow.

But why weddings?

For all the forms of photography, capturing people is far and away my favourite. Every wedding, despite some

similarities, is different and that’s what I love about it.

I get a real buzz when capturing the smile of a grandparent on camera or the nervous laugh of a couple as they begin their vows, the beautiful details, the flowers, the shoes, the kids playing - the list goes on!

Weddings are beautiful occasions and as a photographer capturing that beauty is what it's all about. After a wedding the adrenaline that I bring home sees me editing that very night until 2am, just ask my wife!

I hope my photos capture the passion I have for photography, because that's what I challenge myself to achieve and produce at every wedding - photography as art that does your day the justice it deserves.
