about gav

I have three loves in my life; my wife, my daughter and photography. A bit cliché? Probably, but it's the truth!

In 2004, before our honeymoon to the Maldives, I got myself a camera. Two years later I was shooting a wedding. There was no grand plan, it just happened. I enjoyed it, so carried on doing it when asked. And I kept getting asked!

Faye and Marks Deal Wedding!

Saturday 6th August,

Faye and Mark's wedding was just the best fun for me. Yeah it started raining just as we came out the church, and didn't stop until about 3 hours later. So what? We still went up the seafront, we still had fun (a massive "well done" to dad whose ability to produce 6 big white umbrellas from nowhere was greeted with a big cheer from me!!).

The ceremony was held at St George's Church on the High Street and from there we headed to the seafront for some group shots, gathering everyone around Ruby the campervan for a few shots!

After this me, Faye and Mark took a walk down Middle Street, which provided the perfect backdrop for our little walk 'n' shoot.... and gave them a chance to take 5 minutes out to savour their day.

From there we headed up to St Mary's Primary School for the reception (well, party!). This in itself was cool for me as I was a pupil there a depressingly long time ago! The hall looks fantastic, covered head-to-toe in bunting, Faye did a superb job here, and the atmosphere in the hall was brilliant.

Fish and chips, speeches and then the band followed - truly one of those evenings that everyone won't forget for a while!

Cheers
